Alexander N. Korotkov

Associate Professor
Ph.D. (Physics), Moscow State University, Russia, 1991

Research: Single-electronics (physics and device applications including single-electron logic and memory), transport in semiconductor heterostructures, noise analysis, and quantum measurements for quantum computing. Dr. Korotkov is an author/coauthor of 67 original papers, 2 review articles, 12 invited conference presentations, 45 contributed conference reports, and 1 patent. In particular, he developed the theory of shot noise in Coulomb blockade devices, the theory of single-electron tunneling in nanostructures with discrete energy spectrum, and the theory of continuous measurement of a quantum bit. His papers have been cited over 1000 times.
